My grandfather was Eugène Mongeard and my grandmother was Edmée Mugneret.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe property accounts today for approximately 30 hectares, spread on 35 different appellations producing white Burgundy issued from the Chardonnay grape, but also essentially red wines issued from the Pinot Noir grape in the best climates of the Côte.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eVines here are 72 years old. Given how favourable to vines the land is, the wines of Maizières-Hautes alone symbolize the finesse and elegance that are typical of Vosne. With a long-lasting aroma mingling scents of raspberry and cassis, it will surprise you with its long finish and softness. This wine is both full-bodied and rich and will reveal itself to be suave and generous. The fruit is destemmed according to the vintage and receives 30-40% new oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe vineyard is a tiny parcel that sits just below the Grand Cru Echézeaux, specifically the climat Clos-Saint-Denis.
